Privacy policy
Reframe is a Chrome extension and Figma plugin that turns a web page into editable Figma layers. It's built and maintained by an individual developer. Reframe has no servers, no accounts and no analytics. Nothing you capture is ever sent to the developer or to anyone else.
What the Chrome extension accesses
- The page you capture, only when you click "Capture this page"Reframe reads the page's layout, text, images, icons and charts so it can rebuild them in Figma. It doesn't read any page you haven't chosen to capture, and it doesn't run in the background on the sites you visit.
- Images shown on that pageTo include them in the capture, Reframe downloads them directly from the servers they're already loaded from, the same way your browser did when it showed the page.
- Icons from Google FontsWhen the page uses Google's Material Symbols icons, Reframe downloads each icon's vector shape from Google Fonts (fonts.gstatic.com), the same public service the page itself uses. Only the icon's name is requested; nothing about you or the page is sent.
- A screenshot of the visible part of the pageUsed as a reference image in Figma.
Where your data goes
- Your clipboardWhen the capture finishes or when you click "Copy", so you can paste it into the Reframe plugin in Figma.
- A file on your computerOnly if you click "Download file".
- Your browser's local extension storageKeeps your most recent capture so you can copy it again after closing the popup. It stays on your device and is replaced by your next capture. Removing the extension deletes it.
That's all. Captures are never uploaded, shared or sold, and are never used for advertising, profiling or credit decisions.
The Figma plugin
The Reframe plugin for Figma has no network access. It only reads the capture you paste or drop into it and adds the result to your Figma file. For imported charts it saves the chart's values inside that file so the chart can be edited later. Only people with access to your Figma file can see it.
Changes
If Reframe ever needs to handle data differently, this policy will be updated before that change ships.
